APS began its mission of service toward its community in 2017. Through the creation of a national forum APS learned that the most effective way to bring about definite change in the community is to empower our future generations. Since then, APS has functioned as a non-profit organization. It dictates itself to specifically target and aid underrepresented students towards their pursuit of a higher education. However, APS has set itself apart from other organizations by instilling in these students the commitment and responsibility to give back to their communities. APS has accomplished this through their regional conferences and community events.
